CLARK FREEPORT -- The bilateral agreement between Korea and the Philippines is now bearing fruit as a P30 million Korean spa project inside the Clark Freeport Zone is set to ‘softly opening’ on August 31.

This was announced by Cho Young Ho, President of New Well-Being Spa City Corporation, and assures its would-be customers, that the spa project and the other amenities will be open to public after the inauguration on Friday. The opening of the spa was paved by the steady influx of Korean tourists and investors around the Clark and Angeles area.

The New Well Being Spa features amenities like the gift and coffee shops, lounge and swimming pool which are located at the former Red Wood Villa club house.

According to Freeport reports the wellness project will be the first of its kind by a Korean firm in Clark, which has leased a 1.2 hectares area with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC). The Korean investment aims to transform the former club house into another tourist destination inside the Freeport for the residents and non-residents of the villa-cum retirement village. The spa also targets Korean tourists who frequent the golf courses within the Freeport.

CDC President and Chief Executive Officer Levy P. Laus said the development of the club house will add another value to the retirement village in Clark as the club house is expected to become another tourist destination within Clark.

Recently, the Asiana Retirement Villas, also a Korean project in Clark, has also opened to the public, especially to Korean tourists. The villa is located near the soon to open spa project are expected to generate tourist influx within the Freeport Zone.
