The Museo Ning Angeles, under the auspices of the Kuliat Foundation disclosed to Sun.Star Pampanga that the Culinary section and library of the museum is now open to public viewing.
Jonathan Tinio, project coordinator, of the Museo Ning Angeles said that the two new sections are aimed to promoting a facet of Capampangan culture that is somehow taken for granted. "We are famous for cooking good food and reputed to have the best cooks but what is surprising is there is not much academic attention given on this particular area,” Tinio said.
Tinio added that the two sections would be the Museum's contribution to Capampangan culture. "We based the designs of the Culinarium (culinary section) on existing models from Ateneo de Manila University, we have named the section apply as "Capampangn Kithchen of Yore," which will feature kitchen utensils and practices in the province," Tinio said.
Tinio clarified that the Museum would still house its usual exhibits and presentations the whole year round. "We are now putting away with the usual historical and cultural exhibits that we have, these two new sections are just added attractions for the museum."
The Museo Ning Angeles was established by the Kuliat Foundation on the former site of the City Hall along Sto.
The Museum has also played host to roaming exhibits by national and local artists. It has also served as the backdrop for city events and celebrations, as well as cultural presentations during events like the Fiestang Culiat.
"We are inviting all Capampangan food enthusiasts to visit our two new sections. This is for every food-loving Capampangan in as much as it is for the people of Angeles," he said. The Museo Ning Angeles is open on regular days from 8:00 am to 5 p.m.
